Roomwipe Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Roomwipe! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Roomwipe’s websites, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Information Sharing with Service Providers

To deliver efficient and accurate home maintenance services, Roomwipe connects users with independent service providers (also referred to as “home service pros” or “subcontractors”) and, in some cases, provides services directly through Roomwipe’s in-house team.

By using Roomwipe, you agree to the following:

What Information Is Shared

Roomwipe may share the following information with either internal team members or matched third-party providers, solely for the purpose of scheduling, quoting, and completing services:

  • Full name

  • Service address

  • Phone number

  • Email address

  • Details about the requested service(s)

  • Photos or notes submitted for consultation (if applicable)

How Your Information Is Protected

  • Roomwipe will never sell or rent your information for unrelated marketing.

  • Data access is restricted to internal staff and verified providers for service-related purposes only.

  • Roomwipe manages communications where possible to maintain privacy and clarity between parties.

Additional Notes

  • Roomwipe is not responsible for unauthorized information use if you share personal details directly with a provider outside the Roomwipe system.

  • For full protection under our terms, all communication should remain within official Roomwipe channels (e.g., email, text threads, or the platform itself).

  • You may request data removal at any time by emailing help@roomwipe.com, though doing so may limit your ability to receive or complete services.

1. Platform Use

Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm you are legally qualified to enter a binding contract.

License to Use: Roomwipe grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes.

2. Accounts

Account Creation: Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate and updated information.

Account Responsibility: You are responsible for your login security and all activities under your account.

Privacy: Your use of the Platform is governed by Roomwipe’s Privacy Policy, which outlines data collection, use, and sharing practices.

3. Services

Overview

Roomwipe operates as both:

  1. A home service connector, matching users with independent contractors for services such as handyman work, lawn care, electrical, plumbing, and similar trades.

  2. A direct service provider for select in-house offerings, such as residential and commercial cleaning or minor maintenance tasks.

Each project type follows specific terms below.

A. In-House Roomwipe Services

These are services performed directly by Roomwipe staff or subcontracted under Roomwipe’s direct management and insurance. Examples include cleaning services and other tasks explicitly listed as “handled by Roomwipe.”

Service Payment Policy

  • Payment Obligation: Once a Roomwipe team member begins work at the scheduled property, payment for all time worked becomes due in full, regardless of early completion or partial cancellations.

  • Hourly Rate: Services are billed at the hourly rate listed on your invoice or booking confirmation. Final totals are based on the total time worked, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.

  • Payment Deadline: Payment must be submitted within 24 hours of service completion through approved methods (e.g., Stripe).

  • Late Payments: A $10 late fee may apply if payment is not received within 24 hours without notice. Returned or failed payments may incur a $25 processing fee.

  • Disputes: Any concerns or disputes must be reported to Roomwipe within 24 hours of completion to qualify for review.

  • Invoice Adjustments: Roomwipe reserves the right to adjust invoices to reflect actual hours worked or additional approved tasks.

Scheduling and Cancellation

  • Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows may result in a $25 cancellation fee.

  • Arrival times are estimated within a standard 1-hour window unless otherwise specified.

Service Conduct & Liability

  • Roomwipe staff will perform tasks safely and professionally within agreed service boundaries.

  • Roomwipe is not liable for pre-existing damage, unsafe conditions, or customer-supplied materials.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring safe entry access, working utilities, and pet containment during service.

B. Connected Contractor Services

For services performed by independent professionals, Roomwipe acts solely as a connector between customers and providers.

  • Roomwipe facilitates the quote process and introduction but is not a party to the service agreement between you and the provider.

  • Any work quality, timeline, or payment terms for independently contracted services are governed by that provider’s individual agreement or invoice.

  • Roomwipe may assist with communication and feedback but does not assume liability for third-party performance, pricing, or warranty claims.

4. Content

Ownership: All materials, text, and media on the Platform are owned by Roomwipe or licensed partners.

User Submissions: By uploading photos, descriptions, or feedback, you grant Roomwipe permission to use such content for internal coordination, support, and limited marketing purposes (with consent).

5. Prohibitions

You agree not to:

  • Interfere with the Platform’s operation or access controls.

  • Use bots or automation to extract data without authorization.

  • Misrepresent your identity or the nature of a service request.

6. Termination and Suspension

By Roomwipe: We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, misuse, or fraudulent activity.

By You: You may request account or service cancellation by emailing help@roomwipe.com.

7. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia.

Arbitration: All disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Columbia County, Georgia, unless otherwise prohibited by law.

8. General Terms

Modification: Roomwipe reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting, with an updated “Last Updated” date.

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the full understanding between you and Roomwipe and replace any prior written or verbal agreements regarding the Platform or services.
